Introduction

The residential schools are defined as the billets, hostels, homes for students, boarding schools, and industrial school. The school is usually a day school or some are of combined type. The purpose of these schools is to assimilate the children into the culture of the society away from their parents, families, beliefs, customs and languages. Our study is to assess the effects of such schools on the native people and their children. Many analysts suggest that the impact of such schools is not good on the indigenous population and destruct their moral values.
