Florida's "good time" policy

Good time policy is a policy in which offenders are given three day good time credit whether participated in the work programs or not. There are currently two laws related to good time policy in Florida. In Florida good time is given on the basis of the date of crime conducted by the offender. This policy is applicable on those who had committed the crime prior to 18th, May 1988 (Caplan , 2010).
