Introduction

The Paramyxoviruses cause of respiratory system diseases specialy in children. These cause diseases which include croup, bronchiolititis and pneumonitis. They cause measles, mumps, parainfluenza and syncytial virus. Rubella is also a virus of this group. It causes mild disease with a rash but it is dangerous during early pregnancy. All these viruses have vaccinations which are taken in childhood.

Measles

Measles is a childhood disease. This virus generally causes a fever with a very irritating rash. This occasionally may produce concunctivitis and in severe cases, pneumonia.
