ABSTRACT

The research paper will present an analysis of the Salman Rushdie's "The Satanic Verses" that has created a stir in the Muslim world and has been the most extreme attempt at censorship in the history of literature. The paper will proceed with an introduction of the topic under review followed by a summary of the Satanic Verses, the themes that have been portraying doubts against Islamic Religion and a conclusion. All the tales and chapters of the novel will be analyzed and criticized.

Various online libraries, journals and databases will be researched and reviewed in order to gain an extensive insight and comprehension of the issue being studied.
