Introduction

The world is growing older as we progress with time. Due to the progresses in science and technology in the recent past, the life expectancy of the population has increased. According to the Census Bureau the aging population of the United States will double during 2012 to 2060 (U.S. Census Bureau, 2012). This will have social consequences as there will be greater need for healthcare, and reduced contributions to the economy as elder people tend to contribute less.
