The main purpose of this paper is to analyze the book “Outcasts United” by using three pillars i.e. ethical leadership, cultural competence and community engagement. The paper is an application of the characters of book in these three pillars. The book is about a Muslim girl who went against her parents and decided to take part in soccer. She had been assigned as the coach of the boys soccer team. The story is about a team of refugee boys whose coach was Luma. Luma Mufleh was a graduate of Smity College and have born in Jordan. Her father was a wealthy business man. This story depicts the ways through which Luma has succeeded in her professional career and became a successful coach.

What ways does Hassan Al-Mufleh display leadership in his family? Are his approaches ethical from a western culture's standpoint? Why or why not?
Hassan Al-Mufleh has displayed leadership in his family in an unethical manner. He acted as the autocratic leadership in which he had the sole power to take family decisions without listening to the point of view of other members. Hassan Al-Mufleh was a leader in his home. He was acting as per the Jordanian culture. In the culture of Jordan, the role of women in family decisions was not much prominent and women used to be in back seats in home. As per the Jordanian culture, for every aspect of life women were asked to take permission from the men. He had provided all the facilities to Luma and wanted his children to become the best in their education field. He had the dream that Luma would stay home get married and will become an honor for her. His dream has broken when Luma have refused to come back from USA because she wanted to achieve the different opportunities which were in front of her instead of being a home woman. Hassan Al-Mufleh rejected to accept Luma's decision and have left her alone. Thus, this was an unethical leadership decision from Hassan's side. Ethical leadership is the process of making efforts for the excellence and maintaining integrity in order to develop the ethical reasoning.
