Thesis statement

One of the most salient features of this play is the numerous references to Othello's race. However, Othello is anything but the “barbarian” he is described as and is actually rather more elegant than many other characters in the play, particularly in terms of his verbal ability, martial position, and general personality. While certainly, race is one of the most salient themes in Othello discussed in many essays, take the high road for this essay and go for a challenge.

Introduction

Born in 1564, William Shakespeare is originally from England. After receiving a solid education in 1582, he married Anne Hathaway, already pregnant. He left Stratford, his hometown, to London. He fathered three children, one of whom died in infancy. Lord Chamberlain's Men In 1594, Shakespeare, already an actor and playwright, is working with a theater company, the Lord Chamberlain's Men. After the death of Queen Elizabeth I, which succeeds Jacques I, King attracted by the reputation of the company bought it. It was renamed the King's Men. Shakespeare and his staff then settled in the Globe Theatre. Shakespeare knows eventually some trouble with the law on the management of its land and the escapades of his son. He died in 1616 at the age of 52. His two daughters survived him, but had no children. About the play

When we talk about Shakespeare, the words "classical theater" come immediately to mind, with their attendant stereotypes - that says classic said boredom, memory studies weighty texts during his school years ... well pernicious ideas, as Shakespeare is far, far away to cause trouble!

However, the form of theater can bring out more inner turmoil of the characters, their replicas. And how not to shudder when reading the speeches of Iago eager for revenge or those of a manipulated Othello and sinking in a blind jealousy?
