Introduction

A code of ethics is the set of rules and regulations, which designed to set acceptable behaviors in any organization. A code of ethics is useful for keep the standard in the society as it helps in to maintain the standard of the company (Australian Psychological Society, 2007). Many well-known organizations have Corporate Ethics Officers now, who maintain the organization's culture by setting the code of ethics, which every member of the organization has to strictly follow. Nowadays few arguments about the ethics are made, which talks about what code of ethics should be introduced in the organization so that it has an acceptable culture. It appears that the first ethical standard of enterprise is to endure, to maximize the long run worth of the firm to its owners. Without survival, the subject of enterprise ethics becomes irrelevant. Long term survival can only be accomplished by focusing on earnings, by being a good business civilian, by producing alternatives that bring advantage to clients and other stakeholders, and by performing commonplace decency and construction believe through honesty and fairness (Corey, 2010). In this paper I will be considering a restaurant business, design and implement operational code of ethics.

Business Name and Description

The business under analysis is a small dining restaurant. The restaurant would be located in New York, United States opened under the name "Homestead". The product line would consist primarily of Chinese food, wraps and salads. The sandwiches prepared individually to order in sight. The guest at Homestead would make different decisions during the ordering process along a given production chain, and share this with the Homestead employee. The colors, in the restaurant would move in earthy natural tones. The floor would be covered with natural-colored tiles, provided the area behind the counter with a brick-red brick wallpaper. The restaurant would employee around 10 employees initially. After the commencement of operations, employee would be increased based on forecasted demand. In order to conduct initial market research, three restaurants were considered as sample, York, United States.

Design of Ethics

Exploring the specific ethics that have guided workplace behavior, the work ethic and consumer ethic, may provide insight into America's pursuit of happiness. Work ethics are the motivational driver for employees in entering the workforce. According to the survey, which was conducted on values embraced by new generations of employees as they enter the workforce, the work ethic was a motivational driver throughout much of the 20th century. In America, every organization is known for embracing hard work with a religious zeal that was lauded as the protestant work ethic. The code of ethics should also contain all these aspects, which motivate the employees, and encourage them to give their best performance in the company.
