Introduction

Organization's design is impacted largely due to various factors, which include the size of the organization, its mission, and the technologies being adopted by the organization. The impact might be either a positive one or it might be a negative one, depending on the resources the company have, and how they utilize those resources (Achcaoucaou, et al. 2009). On the other hand, the values of an organization also influence its culture and design. Accountability is also such value which influences the operation of health care organizations.

Discussion

Peguin (2003) says “Structure is influenced by environment, strategy and goal s, culture, technology, and size” (p.10). The number of staff officers, their span of control, and their responsibilities may contribute to the choice of organizational structure.

An example of how the environment affects the manager's association with technology, we will find in the office design. These have become the center of communications. The managers can now connect their computers, telephones, processors of words, copiers, fax, storing files and other office, in an integrated system. For the management of all organizations, this means the ability to take decisions faster and better (Peguin, 2003).

Environment

Organizations do not operate in a vacuum, are not isolated, they operate on a examples of which are part of taking the resources they need to fulfill their aims and objectives, and to which back their services, then a process of transformation of inputs into outputs (Achcaoucaou, et al. 2009). The environment evaluates the product attributes and / or services and then decides whether to accept or not. Size of the Organization

ABC old care home is one of the reputable long-term care organizations in the city. The number of functions and hierarchical levels increases the size. The organizations that have less than 200 employees usually have three hierarchal levels. Same is the case with the ABC care home where 30 employees work (Tran and Tian, 2013). This is a small size organization and that is why its hierarchal system is also very simple. It consists of board of directors comprising of three members, administration, doctors, nurses, and designated staff.

Organizational Structure

ABC Care home's organizational structure defined as "the formal system of task and reporting relationships that controls, coordinates, and motivates employees to cooperate to achieve the goals of an organization." This includes organizational policies, procedures and expectations. Its healthy organizational structure allows employees to be more efficient, while an unhealthy structure can prevent your employees reach their potential.

Mission of the Organization

ABC Care Home focuses on providing quality services to their patients or residents. They feel that if the organization can remain ethical, they can be able to attract a large number of old aged people and provide them quality life.
