Introduction

Organizational culture is referred to as the cumulative conduct of employees in an organization and the feelings and intentions portrayed by them. The culture of an organization represents the value, mission, vision, aims, objectives, tradition, norms, work style, procedures, beliefs, and routine. It is considered as trend or style of cumulative practices and beliefs that are followed by employees working in particular organization. This procedure involves comprehending, feeling and assuming various aspects of organization. It also takes into account the style of interaction between employees and customers and employees and stakeholders of the organization. As per the definition provided by Ravasi and Schultz in 2006, organizational culture is the common set of beliefs and conducts accepted and practiced by all employees in their given job responsibilities and duties. In addition, an organizational culture defines the correct and appropriate code of behaviours for all employees in a variety of conditions and situations. Every organization has its own distinctive culture (Coleman, J., 2013, p. 1).

The difference between management and leadership is evident. Management refers to get all work dork done by employees in a desired way. Managers are responsible for organising human resource and physical resources in order to accomplish goals and objectives f business. On the contrary, leadership refers to influence, motivate, and inspire employees at work. Leadership has to do with guiding and enhancing skills of work force and most importantly respecting them and creating a challenging work environment for them that is achievable as well. Leaders are responsible for forming superior teams consisting of team members that are dedicated towards their work and attain organizational goals and objectives as desired (The Times 100, n.d., p. 1).

The aim of this report is to present critical analysis of organizational culture and approach to management and leadership of Google Inc and Yahoo Inc. Google Inc. offers services of online advertising. It is operating in US, UK, and other countries as well. It is headquarter is located in California. There are about 32,487 employees working in Google Inc. It's core business is to sell products and services related to online advertising. In addition, it also provides variety of tools and technological services to advertising companies and individuals. The services of Google Inc are utilized by greater than 50 countries and in greater than 100 languages. Google Inc. has initiated its operations late back from middle of 1980s. Two graduates studied from Stanford University as a search engine mainly formed it. The company's agenda was to critically analyze the links on a web page in 1996 and finally managed to accumulate $1 million of resources via variety of private investors to initiate the official operations of Google Inc. (Market Line, 2011, p 3-30).
