Introduction

Communication is a term defined as the procedure through which the transmittal of information occurs, and is understood between two or more parties( Miller, 2011). It is generally accepted as a medium for the sharing of such information, feelings, thoughts expressions and more. It has a significant part to play in al aspects of our lives, but more so in business and organizational management because an entire organization may depend on it. Communication is a wire of the organization that is crucial and in many cases, unavoidable. It plays an instrumental role in putting across the message of one organization to an individual, a group or the entire outside world (Communication Type, 2010). It also helps in learning and decision making, often also being utilized for feedback that proves to be vital to the construction of the organization. All in all, from the successes of businesses worldwide taken as an example, it may be deduced that communication plays a significant role in the welding of an organization and can be used as a tool in handling and monitoring progress as well as avoiding conflict and crisis in business. In this paper, I will be analyzing the organizational theories of communication within a specific framework of Bolts Int., a corporate organization that manages and manufactures and markets valves as well as engineered products for the use of energy, aeronautical and industrial markets. For the sake of this paper I will be examining the strategic communication strategies that the company uses and how its organizational structure is thus affected.

Discussion

Bolts Inc. boasts of enjoying success in more than 100 countries with more than 7000 customers. It has managed to garner a huge amount of its success due to its mission statement, “to value our employees and continuously improve our quality of work for our customers”. In the past, Bolts Inc. has made it into the media spotlight for being able to achieve continued success, attracting, developing and retaining some of the best employees in the industry and for being able to garner improvement in most aspects of its business operations. Apart from this, it has produced some of the most strategically positive business acquisitions in both the local and international market that have thus helped in solving customer centered problems.

Bolts Inc. is a world renowned organization that has a work force of more than 6000 employees, a lot of whom are experienced and very devoted to their cause.
