Abstract

The study aims at investigating the nursing environment in the hospital. It also depicts that correlation exists between the work environment and lack of team work. The unfavourable working conditions will lead to the job dissatisfaction and turnover where nursing is concerned. New hospital in US failed to fulfil the patient needs as they have less equipment and they do not satisfy their staff members to obtain at their job roles. The research identifies that ideas and techniques are adopted for retaining the RNs in the hospitals. To redesign the workplace environment as to handle the organizational behaviour issues that should not involve hindrances in the handling and dealing with patients. The RNs hours are directly related to the patient care and no other issues disturb them.

Introduction

In the organizational behaviour management people in the organization plays vital role. As due to employees there is survival of the organization and image of the organization is retained. The objectives of the organization are attained through people working in an organization. There are factors in managing employees they are the employee perform the given task, relation between colleagues and subordinates came under consideration. Group work and team work is highly effective (Introduction to Organizational Behaviour).

The group dynamics of the organization are psychosocial, interpersonal and behaviour dynamics. It identifies the human behaviour at work that is positive and negative impact of working conditions (Nelson, 2013). The organizational behaviour plays a vital role in clinical practise. It caters the safety of the patient. The work environment of the nurse creates a threat for patient safety. The working conditions for the nurse will be sufficient as to deal with patient. The workload and stress negative affect the patient performance. The quality of work, safety and nurse retention is admired by the organizational behaviour and hospital care environment (Akin, 2012).

Organizational Background

The hospital in US tend to demonstrate the work environment is effected the performance of the nurses in dealing with patients. It identifies that the organizational behaviour issues had negative impact on the performance of the nurses. The relation of physician and nurses regarding these issues was also considered under study. It was identified that the increase in US population leads to the shortage of nursing in heath care needs. The study is closely related in managing the workforce in the hospital. The relation between nurse staffing and patient outcome was matter of concern for the hospital. Less number of nurse decreases the incoming of patients. The study has identified that the work environment effect the nurse satisfaction and turnover level. This research study has developed the organization attributes for controlling work environment that should be area of interest in this research (Hendrich, 2010).
