The genome of a complete set of DNA of an organism, includes all its genes. Each genome contains all the information needed to create and maintain the organism. In humans, a copy of the entire genome of 3 billion base pairs of DNA found in all cells that have nuclei.
The genome of an organism complete set of genes specifying how it will develop the phenotype (for a specific set of environmental conditions). In this sense, then, diploid organisms (like us) contain two genomes, one inherited from the mother, the other from the father.
