1.1 Purpose of Different Types of Organisations

On the basis of purpose and operations there are a number of different types of organizations ranging from private and public organizations to the different other forms, such as sole trader, partnership, company, franchise, etc. There are also non-profit and other organizations such as cooperative societies, trade unions and many others on the basis of their purpose and tasks (Institute of Leadership & Management, 2013, p.7). According to Dzimbiri (2009), “organizations are formed in order to achieve specific or general purpose”, for example Universities are for educational purposes, church is created to provide religious guidance, and a shoe making company is established for the purpose of profit making (Dzimbiri, 2009, p.15). Organizations are set under the law of a particular region, therefore, it is essential for organizations to that the purpose must be according to the law and of state, and it must not violate ethical and moral values.

Purpose of Government Organization: The government organizations are set to perform various tasks and functions of government such as for educational purpose, administrative function, welfare of citizens, collection of tax, and various other purposes.

Purpose of Sole Traders: Sole traders have their own business in order to perform various tasks and purposes such as providing services and products, like plumbing, retailing, providing catering and various other services to earn income and profit. Another purpose of sole trader is that instead of doing job, it provides personal satisfaction of owning one's personal business, in which all profit own by sole trader. It allows making own decision, and providing opportunity to explore field of his own expertise. It offers small scale business with ease of operation.
