The company “Ozone Light” is situated in Texas in United States of America. This company is a manufacturing company and produce bulbs which are used to kill micro organisms. The company is running under the supervision of efficient management. The company is consisting of three plants. Each of the plant has modern machines to carry out the required operations. The total number of employees working in the company is 100. These workers enable the company to produce 6,000 units of product each month. The company does not exploit its employees and require them to work for 20 days in every month. Company has to face certain types of over head cost because of the nature of the business. The product is coated by specific type of material known as UV paste. The products are also fragile in nature. Company has to make sure that customer find the product in good quality so there are certain measures that company has to take to make the transfer of products safe. The company is involved in manufacturing a product which is used to solve problems that are related to environmental issues. The costs associated with these measures are taken as overhead costs. It is estimated that company face total overhead cost of $ 800 per day.

The product of the company has primary importance in reducing and eliminating the germs that exist in air. The germs are categorize as micro organisms and cannot be seen by naked eyes. The researchers and theorists have proved that these germs have potential to affect the health of general public. The main purpose of the product is in hospitals, poultry forms and also in household.

The current environmental scan factors that are relevant to the decision making process are information consciousness and exposure to information. Information consciousness can be defined as approach towards information sharing activities and the value that information brings. The company needs to merge different types of events and production procedures. It also requires a rigor analysis process where the term information consciousness evolved. It focuses on the personal sense of responsibility for environmental scanning and the communication pattern developed by the individual. It is observed that the top management of company defines and elaborate is role for different types of operations for example the duty of top management is to monitor the operations carried o in their duty hours but on the environmental scanning front, it is observed that the top management carries a sense of personnel monitoring. Moreover, the researchers and theorists also claimed that top management should keep an eye on distribution of information to key personnel (Emeritus, 2001).

The factor “Information Consciousness” has a strong impact on plant operations because management used to conduct different types of meeting to access how to bring efficiency in operations.
