Introduction
In the era of 21st century, the education systems have changed and improved drastically due to the rapid increase in the education learning trends. It has been observed that there has been a significant rise in the global literally rate. The rapidly increasing approaches towards learning methods have emerged the concept of online education that is also called as the distance learning education system. Though, the traditional education system has its own significance but the online education system has boosted up rapidly as well. The essay will highlight the similarities and differences between online and traditional education after briefly explaining the core concepts of traditional and online education styles. While both forms of education are efficient, online education and traditional education share both difference and similarities in assignments, communication, and learning materials.

Traditional Education
Traditional education system is the old methods of delivering education to the students. It is also called as the 'Back-to-Basics”. The traditional education methods have been applied in the schools since long times. The system follows the typical methods like the students coming to schools and gain education in the form of proper classes and with fixed daytime shifts. The education has been based on the testing, examination and the result announcements and taking feedback from the parents.
Thus, along with the traditional educational systems, the modern era has emerged with the innovative approach of online education systems.
Online Education
Online education involves instruction through electronic communications media to persons engaged in learning in a place or time different from that of the instructor or other students and in which online interaction accounts for at least 50 percent of the graded part of the course. Online instruction, distance learning via the Internet, e-learning, Web-based learning, virtual learning, and e-studies are the terms usually used, interchangeably, in programs and research studies to describe essentially the same type of instruction. At the same time, lack of conceptual distinction among the above-mentioned terms means that programs identified by the same terms may vary significantly, and programs with different names may be quite similar. The design of e-learning courses often challenges the application of these factors. First, because some colleges and universities have seen e-learning as a possible source of profits, some not-for-profit institutions have formed for-profit companies through which to provide e-learning. Certain copyright exemptions do not apply to for-profit companies, and 'fair use' arguments are reduced. When the Registrar of Copyright, a federal official responsible for overseeing US copyright, held hearings about the application of 'fair use' to e-learning she specifically asked, 'How do you draw the boundary [between not-for-profit and for-profit e-learning]?' 1 Second, the technologies that support e-learning also have supported digitization of a broad range of resources, including books, film, and audio recordings. This digitization makes it as easy to give students access to the entire resource as to just a part of it.
