The lung cancer is considered as a principal consequence behind men and women mortality around the world (American Cancer Society, ACS, 2009). The cancer results in multiple mutilations in cancer patients social, emotional, physical and cultural disturbances. Patients are recommended for radiotherapies and chemotherapies which have numerous side effects associated with them. The occupational therapist has a significant impact in the care and management of pain, physical and emotional functioning to improve social, environmental and cultural interaction promotions in cancer patients.

The occupational therapist amplifies occupational therapy to stabilize context, balance and nature of occupations to treat disability, illness and socioeconomic disparities in ill patients to enhance quality of life. The occupational therapist are encouraged to attain professional education to anticipate interventions and apply evidence base practices (“Occupational therapy interventions in cancer”, Guidance for professionals, managers and decision-makers, 2004, pp. 3).
