Introduction

Diabetes is defined as the group of metabolic disease which is caused by the high level of blood sugar. The causes of diabetes can be improper function of pancreas such as failing to produce enough insulin or impaired response of blood cells to the insulin that is produced (Shiang & Kandeel, 2010, pp.347-364). The symptoms of diabetes due to high blood sugar might include increased thirst and hunger and frequent urination. Originally, there are two types of diabetes which are classified as type 1 and type 2 (Klöppel, 2008, pp.110-125). However, statistics show a high trend of obesity in the patients of diabetes (Flegal et.al, 2010, pp.235-241).

Obesity is defined as the overweight caused by the excessive accumulation of fats within the body which results in medical health problems. The severe effects include reduced life expectancy and other ailments such as heart problems. No specific treatment is pointed but people take preventive measures against obesity such as dieting and exercises. Obesity is regarded as leading preventive cause of death worldwide. It has adverse effects on health and physical conditions. Diabetes can cause obesity due to various reasons.

The reduced utilization of sugar from blood due to endocrine incompatibility with insulin causes the storage of calories within the body (Lieberman et.al, 2012). The intemperance of increased eating as mentioned in the symptoms of diabetes leads to obesity. People often referred to obesity as genetic inhabited. Nowadays, modern convenience devices and appliances made life easier. People do work effortlessly as compared to people in previous times. This caused less calories burn by less activities which affects the level of hormones. Physical activities are essential to keep the insulin levels stable. Inadequately balanced diets and the lack of physical exercise are key factors in the increase of obesity and other metabolic diseases such as diabetes in modern societies.

Obesity has emerged as the most pressing nutritional problem facing the developed world. Diabetes is widely considered as the disease of the overweight. It is classified as type 1 and type 2. Type 1 diabetes results from the body's failure to produce insulin, and currently requires the person to inject insulin or wear an insulin pump. Whereas, type 2 results from insulin resistance, a state in which cells fall short of utilizing insulin correctly, sometimes united with an absolute insulin shortage. In is speculated that Type 1 is partly inherited. Type 2 is mostly associated with obesity. They both are strictly connected and firmly established. The obesity might develop into diabetes over a relatively short span of time if proper exercise and healthy diet are not appropriately intervened in the daily routine life.

The intake of food converts into glucose and starch. This energy is utilized by our body. The organ called pancreas is responsible for the hormone production called insulin.
