Introduction

The phenomenon of globalization embraces the idea of spreading factors of knowledge, capital, technology and culture from one part of the world to another or from one country to another. Globalization can be considered as a source that is producing both good outcomes as well as ill. This is true especially when it comes to the field of health and fitness. The positive or good outcomes of the globalization includes ending up the poverty level in many places and countries, reduction in the hunger and dealing with the infectious disease. These changes in turn improve the general quality of life. When the quality of life improves then an individual adopts the state of fitness and well being. There are a number of adverse effects also that the globalization is producing related to health and fitness. As a result of globalization there is a shift in the wealth of the people. The following part of the paper discusses various globalization related causes that are resulting in the issue of obesity.
