Nursing Reignite Me

One of the most important things that have fascinated me throughout my life is to understand that human nature and various ways to serve human beings for the purpose of maintaining their long term health. I am always keen to know what makes people ill and what best possible ways to provide quality healthcare are. I think people need to focus on their health in order to avoid severe health problems. Becoming a gerontology nurse practitioner is very important for me. I aim for becoming a gerontology nurse practitioner because I feel that this profession will make me committed to study and explore the field that I am involved in.

I realize that becoming gerontology nurse practitioner can be extremely challenging task for me. However, I believe nursing remains the field that reignites me. After almost six years, the profession of nursing has urged me to rewrite my personal statement for the purpose of continuing with the nursing education. While I was enrolled in the OSU graduate entry program in 2006, I was so keen to develop my career within this profession. However, I failed a course and eventually left the program unfinished. That time period was most difficult for me as I felt defeated and I also gave up on everything I used to aim about.

After being disgusted with myself, I started realizing that I really need to focus on my career and no one else could help me achieve my dreams. I realized that I had to reignite myself again because no one else can ever do that. I started working in Cleveland Clinic as a result. I worked there for almost four years as RN. I learned a lot of things during my experience at the Clinic. I worked there under many departments like internal medicine, nephrology and even ENT. This working experience in the world of nursing inspired me again to fulfill my dream of becoming a nurse and attaining relevant education.

Now again I intend to continue my graduate nursing education because within so many years I have realized that I am made for this profession only. For the purpose of excelling in my profession, I think I need to focus on attaining background education. I realize the importance of education in every field.
