Nursing Home Administration

Introduction

The purpose of this study is to expand the boundaries of our knowledge by exploring some relevant facts and figures. The nursing home is a place where medical and social services are provided to the elderly. These homes provide services, on prescription, to people aged 60 and over, to sick or dependent adult, to people under 60 with disabilities and to people under 60 years with chronic nursing care and general hygiene, facing competitions for the performance of activities of daily life. The nursing home has a mission to help support people at home, including preventing, or postponing, the entrance to the hospital or in an accommodation establishment and shortening certain hospital stays. This amount is independent of the number of representatives by occupation and number of contacts between home and medical patients. Under a contract signed between the patient, and home medical mutual, the mutual pays directly to the medical home every month and person subscribes a fixed sum: the package (it is individual and non-family). They are involved in patients' homes or in institutions that support non-medical services to elderly or disabled people (Tumosa, 2007).

Nursing Home Administrators & Financial Decision

Nurse home administrators handle the bulk of behind-the-scenes nursing responsibilities in a health care facility, including creating the facility's health care policies, working with the medical staff and governing boards of the institution, and making financial decisions. The occupation marries nursing, business and management, meaning that nurse administrators play an integral part in ensuring that a facility runs smoothly.

Being a nurse home administrator requires nursing knowledge - and a lot of other things too. The nursing home must be a leader, be ethical, have knowledge of business and deal with the bureaucracy. Nursing home administrators have to deal with some different problems that nurse in a way they do. The challenge is different from nursing, and somewhat more varied.
