Your reflection

Communication, like any other aspect of life, is one of the most important components. However, in case of patients who have mental disorder pertaining to learning, its role becomes more significant. As a matter fact, patients with learning disabilities are more prone to healthcare risks than ordinary population. Hence, it is pertinent that health professional must have adequate skills to deal with such a tedious issue. At the outset, identification of barriers in the way of communication serves as the harbinger for future endeavours. It is, however; the first step towards reducing as well as removing the barriers.

In order to fulfil this purpose, I, first of all, try to enhance the health care access of patients who are associated with learning disabilities. This, however; will include developed individual catered health action plans. For instance, at the initial level, the patient will be classified in terms of intensity of disability ranging from mild, moderate, and severe. Based on such classification, I will devise individually tailored communication plan so that each of the patient should not face any kind of difficulty in accessing the help of physician, doctor or other support staff. Furthermore, I will simplify the overall communication trend at the organization level. Because most of the times, patients as well as the companions find it difficult to keep in touch with the concerned staff. However, simplification at overall organization does provide much ease to every person who is associated with organization directly or indirectly. All in all, my major focus would remain over the individual tailored plan and utilization of resources in this discourse.
