1. How would you describe your role in your current position and your educational preparation for this role?
My role comprises of looking after the patients who have been hospitalized and ensuring they follow the course prescribed procedure as specified by the doctor of physician. This includes making sure that the patients take medicine at time. Apart from this, I have to keep a proper documentation of the patients' observation that includes taking and noting down vital signs of the patients every six or eight hours as assigned by the doctor.
2. How would you explain the unique contributions you as a nurse bring to an interdisciplinary team?
Through smiles that constantly give a source of hope to the patients.
3. How would you describe the unique role of your specialty in promoting quality outcomes for patients?
Quality is ensured by constant care of the patient throughout the time he or she is hospitalized.
4. How has nursing research improved or changed a particular aspect of patient care in your specialty area?
Nursing is more personal than before. It makes a strong connection between doctor and patient. Nurses also assist the doctors and also take care of patients ensuring that every care is provided.
5. How do you facilitate patient-centered care in your practice?
By keeping a 24-hour check on the patient's conditions.
6. How is cost containment addressed in your specialty area?
Cost incurs when provision of patients is going good. The only cost cutting is done when purchasing items in bulk to avail the purchase discount.
7. How has your specialty area addressed the needs of underserved patients and populations?
Underserved patients and populations are served with special care and treatments. We try our best to give our best to them so that they can recover fast and in a healthy manner.
8. How does information technology apply to your specialty area?
Keeping a record of the patient's arrival, course of medications and discharge.
