LITERATURE REVIEW
This section of the study will indicate the readings, studies, and literature related to the present researches in relation to assess the awareness of the sepsis protocol among nurses working in the general ward and to inculcate the explanation of different notions related to possible barriers to compliance with the Sepsis Protocol, including the possible relationship between compliance and awareness. The review of literature is essential to the ongoing study for defining, and exploring if the nurses provide adequate support and care to the sepsis patients. Boote & Beille, (2005) suggested that a sophisticated, thorough literature review is the inspiration and foundation for useful and substantial research (pp. 15). The following chapter will review the previous literature in the form of themes and the articles will be critiqued and appraised accordingly. Moreover, the body of the research will incorporate the notions attached to meet the pretext of the paper. As these notions, will help develop an effective understanding of sepsis protocol efficacy that improve ward nurses' compliance to sepsis six hence, assisting in reducing mortality for sepsis patients
Purpose/ Aims and Objectives
This review will focus on the impact of protocols directed at the management of sepsis patient.
To assess the awareness of the sepsis protocol among nurses working in the general wards

Aveyard (2007) stated that “literature review is “the comprehensive study and interpretation of literature that relates to a particular topic”. The main aim of conducting a literature review is to review current evidences and literature to explore the issues of the MAU (Medical Assessment Unit) nurses to implement sepsis protocol, how a nurse can improve the compliance rate of sepsis protocol in the general wards and reduce mortality of patients with sepsis also, to fill the in the gap in the current ...
