"To Kill a Mockingbird" brought American writer Harper Lee's international fame and was awarded the Pulitzer Prize. The novel is a best seller to this day. In 1999, a survey conducted by the Librarian magazine chose this book "the best novel of the century" (Lee, 1960). The rewards that the author was able to get through the book were mainly because of the way that the characters were presented in the book. The paper focuses on specific on different prejudices through the characters.
