New Orleans Police Department

The NOPD has been highlighted for the troubles and issues for several years. There are several basic elements that are associated with the police department for instance Policy, Training, accountability, and citizens confidence. These elements do not seem accurate in the department. The department does not respect the US constitutions and disobey the civil rights and people dignity. There is an issue in majority of the department they do not consider the constitutional policing. NOPD fails to ensure the government that their deeds are according to Law, ethics and US constitutions. This problem in the department has been noticed several times, and it is now take in notice. The US Government and people of New Orleans want them to make collaborations and perform their duties according to the Laws, Ethics, and Constitution (United States Department of Justice, 2011).

Case Study “Shooting on Danziger Bridge”

The famous and current highlighted issue of New Orleans Department is about the Departments Officers that convict Civil Rights Violation in Danziger Bridge. After Hurricane Katrina, four police officers of NOPD violated civil rights and shoot at the Danziger Bridge on civilians. When the case occurred the investigation teams made to investigate the case properly and find proofs and evidences for the convicted police officers and victims. When the case opens and started it investigation the investigation officers found that a police officer involved indirectly that covered that case and show no response to the shooting on Danziger Bridge.
