Introduction

This paper talks about not only the significance of education and its impacts in general, but the issues encompassing the attainment and acquirement of education by every child of USA, belonging to any race, religion, and region. Not only does it talk about the equal rights of children around the country but also the equality of education between a normal child and a disabled child. It discusses and justifies the fact that disabled and disadvantaged children also deserve to enjoy the same education as normal children do.

The Right to Education

The basic human rights entitle everyone to relish the right to education. The United Nation clearly and explicitly states in UDHR (universal declaration of human rights) adopted in 1948, the entitlement of any individual belonging to any race, region, religion, social class and gender to at least the luxury of free elementary education(UDHR,1948).

Ascertaining the way in to basic education, is the prerequisite of awareness and realization towards the gateway of a complete education. Not only every child in USA enjoys the entitlement to basic education, but quality education, as it plays a crucial role in the development, evolution and growth of human personality as a whole.

The right to education does not stop at the primary stage of education, or age span, it goes beyond the basic level to what a person feels justifiable to his/her qualification. US considers education as a precious and priceless wealth and is the basic key to economic development. The more the US citizens accumulate the educational wealth; the wealthier the nation will be in the long run. Not only does education enhance the standard of life, it also enables a person to realize his/her doorway to other rights and responsibilities in society and life. There are vast numbers of human right issues, but they cannot be figured out and resolved unless the right to education is fully addressed, as it is the key to disengage other human rights.

The right to education according to UN articulates that; the right to education should be given effect, and it should be ensured that it enjoys full recognition, and well-practiced without any favoritism or discrimination. Appropriate and practical steps must be taken to assure the eradication of impediments of all sorts that may limit access to proper education, especially by girls and disabled children; besides the dwellers of rural areas, refugee camps and children belonging to lower social sectors.
