The number of users of social networks such as Facebook and MySpace jumped from 200 to 250 million in just three months. Social networking has been a phenomenon in recent years. These networking websites are not only used by people, but also being used by large corporations and companies to promote their products and services, and increase their popularity and maintain strong relations with their customers.



Discussion

The social networks leaves a strong impact upon social ties made by people with their surroundings, which is not only interesting from a sociological point of view but gives an idea of the potential they have in the process of consolidating society and organizations.
