Since 1978, the adoption of the Act to secure the rights of disabled, the Government of New Zealand has a fundamental orientation towards the social integration of people disabilities. The Office of Disability New Zealand, agency created by this law, has a broad mandate to ensure coordination services provided to disabled people, promote their interests and foster their academic, professional and social. Disabled people are very concerned by the Bill of 38, Act the Commissioner of Health and Welfare.
