The technology has tremendously impacted the learning and teaching process along with the learning and service experiences. One of the emerging resources of the advanced technology is the social media that has gained the attention of a number of people across the world. The online learning resources and social media resources are widely opted by a number of institutions to facilitate the students and the teachers in learning and teaching process. The web users in today's world have become creator of content in a prolific way. They upload videos, audios, photographs to the social media sites that are cloud based including Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Flicker etc. These social networking sites are used by billions of people around the world. The engagement of students and teachers in social media as the creators of the content that could be shared with each other can lead to creative teaching learning process in the contemporary community college and its learning environment. The social media tools can be used by the students and the staff of the university or colleges to develop powerful and influential learning networks that can be personal at the same time in order to focus and redirect the learning process of the students. Additionally, the video platforms of social media are widely used by the educators such as Vimeo and YouTube in order to share and upload the original recorded lectures along with other instructional material that can be accessed by the students anywhere and anytime (Eikenberry, 2012).
