New Order Theory "Reflection Chapter 23"

Introduction

This paper intends to provide a reflection to the learning of Chapter twenty three. Basically; this paper intends to summarize the questions in the context of learning related to Quinn and the reflecting journaling. Pondering over the journey of self reflection throughout the semester within the context of what I have discovered about myself; the paper will provide an analysis about the Quinn Chapter 23. The purpose of this paper is to create a relationship between how the personal questions and organizational questions are answered.

Reflection over the Learning

Empowerment and learning is one thing which everyone aims for the entire life. The chapter twenty three of this book created significant knowledge related to the different and important aspects of one's life. My immediate learning of the chapter is that in one's personal life; people only have to answer to themselves. No one else can ever raise questions about the achievements or the level of empowerment one has in its personal life. On the other hand; the professional or organizational life allows several people to have a hold over the growth, empowerment and achievements of an individual (Hills & Jones, 2009 Pp. 56-70). The ultimate learning from the chapter relates to the fact that I used to believe that empowerment is a top down process. However, this is not the case in every situation. Every employee or individual can increase or enhance his or her own empowerment through constantly learning new things. Constant learning makes people empowered and provides them opportunities to feel confident and take informed decisions. Overall, I have realized the fact that in this chapter that people cannot live as casually in their professional lives as they live in their personal lives because they have to provide answers to everything they do in the professional context.
