Introduction

The efficiency, reliability and value of a digital network can be enhanced up to a significant extent by the help of a fully featured and robust management system of network. This type of system has the flexibility for optimization of different number of diversified operations by giving the choice of remote controlling and monitoring function along with the maintenance of all other elements. These elements include media streams and devices which are present in a network. The ability of remote monitoring give the liberty of enhanced visibility of ongoing operations, giving on site support to be streamed online along with combining the performance statistics which are the fundamental part of a network optimization.

The state of the art and advanced remote access capabilities activates these optimizations as well as giving the freedom of an early intervention to deal with the issues in operations. The remote and cost effective management has become a hot topic for the researchers and scientists in the area of network based digital communication. IT industry has developed several solutions for the purpose of remote monitoring and management of a network.

Discussion

Conventional network designs fail to deal with the need of modern information technology systems for the effective and efficient support of the business. The running and maintaining multiple networks which are composed of varying designs and hierarchies each having its own specific set of tools and set of skills, adds up the operational expenses along with the reduction in the ability to acquire dynamic needs of the business. This paper reviews the conventional designs which are used in business now a days and shaping a unique and unified hierarchy of to bring the present IT fabrics into a single end to end network fabric (Clemm A., 2006).

The term “fabric” is generally used in many different means and ways by different number of vendors. Many of them use it for the description of set of different protocols that define the topology as a part of network.

Gartner describes the terms as the combination of different elements to form a system, to make a pool of resources that makes applications or tasks to share the resources which are present in a pool (Skarupa, Weiss, Scott, Butler p. 5).

To assure the availability of application, it is desirable to use the definition of fabric for the network as a complete entity instead of treating it independently like the tiny silos of fabric functionality. Recently, for all the organizations which are working on the principle of network management are facing an increased need for the availability of applications, the quality of service being offered by them and duration to market. The trend is also changing in a way that how and where the applications are hosted in a data centre. Besides this there is lot of advancement in the way that how these applications are delivered to a customer (Lev D., 2010).
