National Health Insurance Option

There is so much debate today about the health care option in the United States. Many people have been voicing their opinions about this issue for a while now, people as important as today's President of the United States, Barrack Obama who is pushing for there to be a national health care option; to the lady down the street who may have her reasons to believe it is a horrible idea. After doing the research about this issue and listening to many different opinions I believe that the United States is in desperate need to fight against the nationalized health insurance option; because of my experience, the cost, the control the government would have, and how this would only turn our country into a socialized government. Research, opinions and debates has led me to believe that a national health care option this would result in a negative outcome for our country.

What is the difference in not having, and having a nationalized healthcare option? Let's take Canada for example, they are a Socialized government, meaning government controlled. They do have a nationalized health care option, unlike us the United States. This in the U.S when it comes to healthcare the U.S. is more of a capitalist government meaning, controlled effectively by the people in a sense. In other words there are set down rules for the whole population contributing to the fund or receiving benefits from it. Unlike Canada the United States healthcare is ran completely different. The system is run from a more Republic standpoint. The government requires the population of the United States to pay taxes, which in the case of someone not being able to afford millions of dollars of medical bills, the government then pays for those bills with the taxes from the whole population. That could cause a huge debate within itself that I will discuss later on. Statistics show that 15% of people in the U.S are completely uninsured. When asking my fathers opinion about this issue he was very much against it. He believes that if a national health care option this was passed the government would have complete control of our personal life, and people's hard work and earnings would no longer matter. The government would continue to cancel out our privacy as an American Citizens until they knew every last thing about us. The President of the United States is fighting to lower health care costs and make it required to have healthcare in the ...
