Introduction

Google is a giant that holds the top place in search engines world over. Created by two friends from the Stanford University, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, the search engine has taken the world by the storm. Originally given the name of Backrub, it was later given the name of Google which was presented to the world in year 1998. Since then it has not looked back and has climbed the ladder to success, becoming one of the most earning organizations in the world.

Organizational Culture in Google

When it comes to organizational culture, Google is one of the top names that are mentioned for their state of the art and employee friendly organizational culture. They have a unique culture of their own, which makes the employees of other companies cringe with jealousy. Google did not opt for a typical corporate culture. They wanted to make sure that work does not seem like work; rather it is enjoyable for the employees, so they do not feel burdened and give out their best output to the company. The pictures of the company depict is as the ideal place to work in, as there hardly seems to be any work; it is like an adult play land where one would simply love to go.

The success of Google is definitely to be attributed to the unique corporate culture that they maintain. They have a special department whose only job is to make sure that the employees are happy and content with the working environment, as when the employees would be happy and content, the productivity would increase.
