Meritocracy ignores the facts and the privilege that people from marginalized groups are required to work hardest to gain some reward as compared to their upward mobile competitors. Under the umbrella of meritocracy, the cream rises to the top naturally, despite of the association or status and generations have been passed wherein, the cream were male and whites consistently. That was the recent case, when the world woke-up to the newsfeed that people in minority were not ready to accept the token slots that were assigned to them. However they were slowly and surely invading the campuses in forces, which dramatically shifted the demography away to middle higher education from male white.
