Introduction

During my course of Music Theory and Composition I have come across vast knowledge about music composition. I have learned that there are different ways and styles of composing music are adopted by varied music composers. Here, in this paper we will discuss one of the well trodden and beneficial paths of composing music that I learnt during my course. First of all, I have observed that it is necessary to judge yourself by assessing whether you have the ability to concentrate on music or have a creative mind. Of course, for me good ear for sound mixing and some preliminary knowledge about music and music theory has always helped me in the course completion. I think if you have them, you are eligible to be a music composer. After that, you can improve your basic music skills. For those who want to start you can begin with the most primary aspects of music that is rhythm and some others such as voicing techniques, stylistic concerns also the proficiency to write on the musical staff papers etc (Adorno, 2000).

Weekly Music Composition Reflection

Week 1: Understanding on Composing Music

In first week of my education we were an indepth understanding of composing music. It was all based on theory to get all students aligned with their field. With the help of this course i see education as a creative adventure of science and art. Composing music is a creative art. I feel it comes inborn to someone when for others; it can be the scariest task around. The right thing is that composing music is also not a difficult task to learn. It can be learned and mastered with practice. To be a music composer, you need to learn some basics and some more progressive ways to custom music. When you listen to music and enjoy overtones, it makes you wonder how such touchy and expressive melody is composed or sung. However, some of the popular music composers are ignorant about how to read the music sheet too, but they are very successful. It can be said that their keen interest and dedication took them to the expertise. Therefore, if you have that insight, interest, inborn capacity and ability to work hard, you can become a successful musician and get an extremely attractive job (Wuthnow, 2003).

Week 2: Composition and Music Theory

The study of composition and music theory has anchored me at the Institute for composition and electro acoustic music and includes teaching, research and science in the areas of instrumental composition, electro-acoustic, audio-visual media and computer music. During my studies the formation of nascent composer and music theorist was performed by highly qualified some internationally active artists and scientists. In addition, regular renowned guest speakers from the relevant departments were invited to seminars and workshops.

Week 3: Learing Basics

There were some input powers tested to make sure I am capable of learning composition and music theory.
