Muscular System

Introduction

Muscular system is a system of human life, is made ??up of muscles that form muscle fibers. Due to the functioning of the musculoskeletal system may implement human motion in space and reducing the wall of the internal organs, it is necessary for their normal operation. The units of the musculoskeletal system are the myofibrils (striated muscle), of which form the muscle fibers and muscle bundles. Muscle bundles form the muscles, which are autonomous bodies, or are part of the walls of the other internal organs.

Discussion

In general, two types of muscle - striated and smooth. By the striated muscles are all somatic muscles - the muscles, through which are the most important function - the movement of the human body in space. Striated muscles are all skeletal muscles - the muscles of the head, torso and extremities. Also in the striated muscle is heart muscle, which provides a reduction in permanent and continuous operation of the heart, without which human life (White, 2001 ).

Smooth muscles form the muscular layer of many internal organs such as esophagus, stomach, intestine, urinary bladder. Smooth muscles of digestive system ensures the mixing of food mass (which is necessary for good mixing it with digestive enzymes) and their promotion of the gastrointestinal tract, where the digestion, absorption of nutrients and removal of undigested residues through the rectum into the environment. Smooth muscles of urinary system are necessary for the implementation of the coordinated work of urinary retention in the bladder and breeding it out.

The work of the musculoskeletal system is controlled by the nervous system, and, the reduction of striated muscles (except the heart muscle) is subordinate to the cerebral cortex of the act, whereas smooth muscle contraction is under the influence of pulses of the autonomic nervous system (their work is done unwittingly, ...
