In this movie, Murder on a Sunday Morning, a woman named Mrs. Stevens who is in Florida is robbed by a black male at gun point. This incident took place in Florida. During the robbery the woman was shot and killed. His husband Mr. James Steven saw the incident. The mugger of the crime was identified as a black male who is skinny and of approximately six feet in height. The male is about 20 to 25 years of age. Another black male is arrested who is named Brenton Butler and he is15 years of age and he is shorter than the height which is reported of the mugger. Butler is found responsible for the crime because he is the black male in that area where the crime took place. It is same as the driving fault of black which was utilized by police as an excusing for blocking the road (Harris, 1999). Police takes Butler in the their car and is taken in front of the husband. Mr. James identifies that Butler is same person who has mugged and shot his wife.

Police then takes Butler to the station for cross examination and his parents are not informed or without the assistance of any legal representative. Police man has informed Butler that he should take help from a legal advisor and they will help him getting an advisor. The police did not arranged any advisor for him and continue to question him different things. The Detective Glover asks questions from Butler. He is a huge chunky and frightening person. Glover tries to make him confess and inquire him about the exact place of the revolver from which the lady was shot dead. Butler did not know about any gun because he did not commit any crime. The detective takes Butler to the crime scene and he beats him once on the face and twice in the abdomen. This information is presented by the doctor and this was considered as the third party information because this information was given as evidence in the trial and it helped in favor of Butler. When Butler did not confessed about the crime then another detective Dwayne Darnell was brought to ask questions from him. The Detective Darnell writes a confession by himself and asks Butler to sign it. This written confession is also used later on as a point of evidence in the court proceedings. Ann Finnell and Patrick McGuinness are the public advocates and they started working on butler's case against the state of Florida. They presented themselves as the attorney of Butler and demolished the case and the restricted seats which are created for the court proceedings. The evidences consisted of eye witness evidence of Mr. James and the declaration written by Butler which was acquired by torturing Butler.
