Introduction

This paper will be discussing over the applicability of motivational theory in India. The specific focus of the discussion is on using Maslow's theory, Hertzberg's theory, and McClelland's theory with its reflection towards the applicability in India. During this discussion, this paper will also be highlighting over the Indian-socio-cultural psychology of individuals and their aptitudes that reflect towards the motivational theories. (Walsh 1970, Pg.#183)

Discussion

Firstly, this paper will be discussing over the Indian socio-cultural values and believes and how it reflects and verifies towards the motivational theory including the Maslow's pyramid theory, Hertzberg's theory, and McLelland's theory. The working and performance levels depending on these theories heavily depend on the several different factors, mainly the factors which are highlighted. Firstly, this paper will review over the Indian culture (socio-cultural values) factors comprehensively; secondly would be detailed defintions of Maslow's theory, Hertzberg's theory, and McLelland's theory. Third and lastly, this paper will inter-relate these socio-cultural values with these three threories with the implications towards India's socio-cultural activity and reflecting them towards the motivational theories (Ivancevich and Duening 2002, pg#243).

Indian Socio-Cultural Values

India is a promising country with almost unlimited possibilities, but also with problems that are typical for a country that industrialized just beginning. The booming economy and the throng of foreign companies that want to cut off a piece of cake for drift, the Indian land and property prices higher and scarcer resources. Indian entrepreneurs and managers make it more self-confident. They know that their country is in great demand and may thus require a reasonably high price.

More and more employers in India are struggling to recruit and retain qualified employees. In particular, Western managers are often see that Indian workers tend to stay if you have an above average salary paid for them. Exchange with foreign countries has risen the desire for a career development, which is the desire of all Indians based on their historical and for cultural values. India's economy has opened only since 1991 while taking chary steps. Until then, the government had largely closed and protected the Indian market from foreign influences leading its colonial heritage to be left behind in the economic and social-cultural progress. This also led to the fact that India employees were unable to compare their work nor their earning potential with international market players. Since then, the Indian economy is booming, creating jobs and exchanges with foreign countries establishing themselves or their Asian branches based in India, makin all the Indian residents develop and desire to make a succesful career (Sapru n.d.2009, pg#653).

A formal dress is appropriate. During an excursion, men can wear trousers, a shirt with long sleeves and a hat, if necessary, to protect against the sun.
