The paper aims to highlight the importance and background of cultural mosaic as well as grave concerns related to the ideology of multiculturalism. The government adopted multiculturalism as an official policy that recognized diversity, instead of assimilation. The metaphor of cultural mosaic induces a bright picture of Canadian ideology in which every tile is different and distinctive, but when it is seen as a whole, these tiles combine to form an extraordinary single picture. There are problems some cultural mosaic matters like participation in politics and economic prospects over the emblematic politics of cultural gratitude, individual rights and freedom over respect for cultural practices, the construction of comprehensive national identities over the identification of unique cultural identities, and cultural alteration and cultural mixing over the representation of fixed cultural differences.

Thesis Statement
This paper aims to examine the meaning of cultural mosaic and ethnic diversity in Canada and the problems faced by the Canadian residents as they live in highly diversified society.
Methodology
This research will use mix method for data collection, which include both the primary, as well as secondary sources. For primary sources, I will interview a member of an ethnic group who is part of the cultural diversity. For secondary sources, I will rely on the research of Susan Brodt and her colleagues regarding cultural mosaic approach to multicultural work groups which was presented in 23rd Annual International Association of Conflict Management Conference. Further I will be depending on the research of Government of Canada Policy Research Initiative on multicultural diversity and harmony by Jean Lock Kunz and Stuart Sykes. Another work that I will focus on will be a book by Will Kymlicka who conducted a detailed research on multiculturalism and its success, failures and the prospective future.

Canada is a country which is categorized by variance and diversification. There are differences in the physical landscape, populace, climate, natural resources, ethnicity, belief, profession, and income and the number of individuals living in urban regions (Angelini, U., 2012). Canada is undoubtedly the country of immigrants, the first groups of individuals, in the eighteenth century, were individuals from France and Britain expecting to make a better lifestyle in the New ...
