Abstract
In this study we try to explore the concept of importance of enterprise resource system in a holistic context. The main focus of the research is on the enterprise resource system and its implementation in the Morrisons Company. The research also analyzes many aspects of the enterprise resource system and tries to gauge its effect on Morrisons Company.

Introduction
WM Morrison Supermarkets plc is a retail company from the UK the Company is in the FTSE 100 on the London Stock Exchange listed. The company is generally designated by the name "Morrison". The company's headquarters is located in Bradford, England. Wm Morrison Supermarkets employs around 118,880 employees in 367 stores in the UK.
The company was founded in 1899 by William Morrison. The first commercial sale of eggs and butter was at the Rawson Market, Bradford. His son Sir Ken Morrison is currently the chairman of the company. Ken Morrison, the company acquired in 1952 by his father. In 1961, the first supermarket in Girlington district was founded in Bradford. In 1967, the company went on the London Stock Exchange. The company also owns the Food Factory Farmer's Boy in Bradford. In May 2005, Morrison took over the company Ratbones Bakeries, which supplies the supermarkets from Morrisons with bread (Chopra 2004, 53).
The company is one of the four largest supermarket chains in Britain, in addition to the three competitors, are Tesco, ASDA (owned by Wal-Mart) and J Sainsbury. In January 2008, the Morrisons market share is 11.4%, which makes it the smallest of the "Big Four" supermarket after Tesco (31.5%), ASDA (16.7%) and Sainsbury's (16.4%) but ahead of the fifth, Waitrose, which has a market share of 3.9% (Dekker 2003, 1).
Technology plays a crucial role for Morrisons as they have developed their business systems unit, as well as outsourced several enterprise solutions from other vendors, like SAP AG, PeopleSoft, Oracle, Edwards, etc. which enabled them to get a strong strategic fit to create significant business value. However, there are some key issues which need to be considering for smooth operation, achieve target and sustainable growth of the company (Brown 2003, 12).
