The mechanism of evolution leads the transformations which have taken place in the world from the beginning until today. Many scientists and researchers have been involved in gathering evidences regarding the evolutionary transformations (Pojeta & Springer, 2001). Different species change and transform into new species linking to the idea that each species is related to other. The nature shows strong evidences of diversity rather than homogeneity as the genetic system is created to encourage diversity.
Analysis
The theory of evolution by Darwin applies to this scenario as it states that species are population which interbreeds and reproduce fertile offspring. The bird species in this situation interacted to reproduce unique offspring. The theory of evolution is studied under three factors which are:
Mutation
Genetic drift
Natural selection
The researches and studies in natural sciences show that single mutations can lead to a unique specie or specie with different color in birds. The birds use plumage color to recognize potential mates and interaction of different DNAs can lead to a new species. The birds in this scenario were also involved in selecting mates to reproduce more offspring (Loewe, 2008). The DNA duplication in cells during mutation transfers the information to the offspring and creates a new DNA structure.
The breeding in birds bring out new combinations each time. The concept of DNA mutation applies to scenario as research indicates a close relationship between the new population and mainland species. The mainland species must have aggressively done interactions and mutations which resulted in the new population. DNA mutation can be considered as the result for new population and bringing the change in features specifically physical appearance, color and behavior (Loewe, 2008).
The genetic drift one of the basic components of mechanism of evolution. However, it is based on complex understanding as it has been considered ...
