This study has considered the chronic heart diseases as its prime focus and includes the research carried out to find out if the prevalence is high in adolescent girls. The study has tried to prove the relevancy of the subject by research conducted on the adolescent girls using daily step count measurement, using pedometer. The topic chosen is relevant in terms of the study conducted, and holds high importance in the field of medical research on the prevalence of chronic diseases.

Question 1

Selected Group and Characteristics of the Sample

This article includes the study conducted on the adolescent girls. The sample size consisted of 415 girls, all aged 16 (+, - 0.8 months). They all belonged to a good family background, coming from non-deprived areas, and volunteered to participate in the study (Schofield, Schofield, et.al, 2007).
