Introduction

The most important thing is pay and everyone have her or his own reasons for working. Almost equally strong motivations, other factors are listed by many workers. These can range from purpose to more tangible benefits, like, provisions for retirement, flexible work schedules, and health insurance and opportunities to learn new skills or to grow to a sense of community. In the last decade, employer-provided health insurance coverage declined sharply (Muchmore & Et.al, 2003). A greater value is placed on the employee's benefits of those employees that are faced with new economic realities.

In employee loyalty, benefits remain consistently an important factor and the most powerful benefits objective of the employers of the United States, is employee retention, despite the recessionary pressures. This essay will address some of the most famous trends that affect the cost of employer for benefits and what measures have been taken in order to deal with those trends.

Discussion

A notable change in attitude is assumed by the employees, as for their welfare and health concerns; they assume more of the financial and personal responsibility. Even besides the organization being fully employee-paid, attempts are made by the employees to take control of their finances and increasingly seek help to the workplace. Greater degrees of employee loyalty are expressed, and greater appreciation for benefits is acquired by employees, who are growing more aware of their personal risk exposures.
