Introduction

Today, competition has increased because of which companies no longer can ignore international markets (Jonathan, 2010, 2). Companies cannot stay competitive if they do not serve to international market. ABC Company in last few years has seen growth so they decide to expand their business in international market. Out of five potential countries, ABC Company chose UK as number one location. Initially the company has decided to launch a branch. As a manager I have to fulfill all the responsibilities of the branch therefore in this paper I am going to outline a plan what is to be done and how. For instance I shall be responsible for human resources and overall management of the branch so that branch can achieve its target. The purpose of this paper is to let readers know about importance of every single activity to achieve desired results.

1.1 Job Description and Job Specification

Job specification and Job description both are part of job analysis which is considered very important when looking for workforce for any business. A job description is a detailed description of roles and responsibilities of advertised post. Job specification is a description of required skills, personal attitude and experience out of a potential candidate. Following is job description and job specification of Sales Officer.

Title: Sales Officer (Both Indoor and Outdoor Sales)

Job Purpose: to promote ABC Company's products and services according to agreed personal and company targets.

Status: Full Time Regular

Job Description: Candidate should be able to:

Priorities and plan sales activities towards achievement agreed sales target.

Follow and respond to sales enquires using appropriate methods.

Research and develop new contacts and sales Leads through appropriate ethical sales proposition and method to optimize growth.

Manage and effectively plan personal workloads according to agreed market and sales development strategy.

Organize and schedule product demonstrations.

Deliver product demonstration in person or online.

Attend training to develop relevant skills, knowledge, and techniques.

He/she is responsible to identifying, prospecting, new profitable relationships from perspective customers.

Provide quantitative data on data driven management information

Maintain accurate records of all sales, pricing, and all other important activities.

Work on own initiate with least supervision.

Job Specification: Candidate should have:

2-3 years relevant experience

Good knowledge of MS Office

Strong management and Excellent Communication Skills Masters the English both spoken and written

Act decisively

Maintains Good Peer Relationships

After thorough research, we found two retention procedures for ABC Company which will allow us to achieve our targets without hurdles and it will also add value to company's reputation:

Hire Right Individuals: Problem with employee begins right from the day they are hired. If we will not hire right people for our new branch then later they will set us in problem. For hiring right people we should take multiple interviews from an individual.

Treat Employees and Individuals: Nobody likes to be called in number. We should take care of personal and professional needs of every employee at ABC branch in ...
