Introduction

The concept of Modernity was introduced by sociologists, and it depicts the ideals and lifestyles of the citizens. Today modernity is contemporary thinking and contemporary ways of doing things. In the post modernization, the idea of modernity leads towards the culture. The concept of modernity was initiated by the traditional sociologists. The concept of modernity was developed by the political and economic developments in the state. This is the replacement of modern and traditional values. This is affected by the economic growth and social change that exists in the society. This approached initiated for the evolutionary approach identified in the Western cultural model (Knowles, 2013).

Modernity on Global Stage

In the current era modernity can be attained by adopting the education and capital of the country. The industrialization had a great impact in moving the state towards modernity. Modernism leads the state towards the success and modern sociologists focused on the postmodern theories rather than modernization. Post modernization is the social change that exists in the society. The traditional elements are necessary as to identify the link between earlier concept of modernity, and the concept of modernity is moved towards globalization. The post modern society that is the globalization of the world leads towards the technology advancement. Earlier technologies were criticized as they destroy the social reality. The invention of television was claimed to grabbing the citizen's attention towards the concept of modernity. The elements that took place in the globalization are the element of post modernity (Wagner, 2013).

The sociologists had incorporated the concept of modernity as the study of social life. Modernity is essential for the progress of the society. The modern age civilization depicts the concept of capitalism and industrialization that exists in the society. Gidden in 2002, explore the concept of contemporary society in the postmodern era that is prevailing in the society at present. In order to attain the current concept of modernity sociologist and focused on the post modern state of globalization that exists in the society (Dillon, 2012).

The realization of democracy was associated with modernity in by the Webster in the year 2000. This concept moves towards the free thinking of the citizens. As there were changes in the society which was depicted from the industrial revolution and focusing of the concept of open thinking that exists in the society. During the age of Enlightenment, there were the concept of innovative ideas and the technology advancement that exists in the society. The societies are rapidly progressing, and it gives importance to the technology advancement in the current world (Knowles, 2013).
