Ernest Hemingway, one of the famous writers of the Northern-American literature was born in Oak Park, Illinois, in 1899 and died in Ketchum, Idaho, in 1961. In 1918, he participated in the World War, taking part in the Red Cross in Milan, he was injured and gets medal for military valor. He fell in love with her girlfriend “Agnes von Kurovsky”, who was a nurse. In the later stages of his life, he traveled to Constantinople, Greece, Italy, Spain and Canada. His love of adventure grows; in Switzerland and Austria and Spain. Many of his works would be the testimony of a vigorous and adventurous life of addiction to violence and contempt for death in war, in the arena, in the African jungle Cana, at sea, with fidelity and beauty present in his works. After the 2nd World War, he moved to Cuba. For 10 years he published nothing and his health became worse due to his fondness for alcohol. In 1952, his work OLD MAN AND THE SEA appeared in the journal L1FE, which revived his popularity, earned the appreciation of fishermen of Cuba, and won the Pulitzer Prize and the Nobel Prize in 1954. The end of his life is very sad; he suffered from nervous breakdown, delirium tremens, alienation, madness and made a suicide attempt. On July 2, 1961 he killed himself with one of his favorite guns (Waldmeir, 349-356).

This work earned him the honor of the Pulitzer Prize twice in 1953 and the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1954 (www.asiaing.com, 2011).
