Topic: The Uses and Effects of Zoloft

Thesis Statement

Zoloft is an anti depressant drug it has benefits for a number of sufferings like PTSD and social anxiety conditions. Zoloft is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). It works by restoring the balance of serotonin, a natural substance in the brain, which helps to improve certain mood problems. But like all drugs it has its side effects.

Introduction

All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. Check with your doctor if any of these most common side effects persist or become bothersome: Anxiety; constipation; decreased sexual desire or ability; diarrhea; dizziness; drowsiness; dry mouth; increased sweating; loss of appetite; nausea; nervousness; stomach upset; tiredness; trouble sleeping; vomiting; weight loss. Depression is a serious medical condition, which can lead to suicidal thoughts and behavior.
