Introduction

The research plan is based on “The Impact of Core Standardized Test Anxiety on Students”. If a child expresses knowledge on daily basis and yet fails on a standardized test, it shows that there is something erroneous. Anxiety and stress as a result of standardized test is referred to downbeat concept that could harm the physical as well as mental well being of students. Students of average age are more likely to get affected with stress due to standardized tests. In present era, lives of people both physical and mental are being affected through stress and anxiety due to increased pressure of work and other circumstances.

Purpose Statement

The purpose of the research study is to evaluate the impact of core standardized test anxiety on students. The standardized tests has its merits and demerits, one of its demerits is that it they are not planned while keeping diversity in mind. Every student is different from other students and process information in different ways. It is imperative to understand why common standardized tests lead to stress and anxiety. The research would be aimed at assessing the effects of common standardized test anxiety on different students.

Research Hypothesis

The research will be carried out for testing the following two hypotheses:

HO: The standardized test is effectual in gauging the level of anxiety among the students.

HA: The standardized test is not effectual in gauging the level of anxiety among the students.

Research Plan

The argument over standardized test has brought its roles and interpretation into limelight. The results from the standardized test should be used by the teachers for improving their instructions and not for justifying their low expectations.
