Abstract

This study explains how effective mindfulness practice is in terms of self-care and explains whether it has an impact on psychotherapy practice or not. Therapists become a patient of “Compassion Fatigue” due to their nature of work as they have to indulge in emotional labour which is a part of their therapeutic work. Stress related problems occur specially to those professionals who have to deal with patients that need high demand setting. The negative emotional affects that psychotherapeutic professional can experience include; high level depression, emotional fatigue, anxiety, social separation, and decrease in job satisfaction. As a result of these effects, psychotherapists fail to provide high quality service to patients as they possess lack of decision making skill and weaker relationship. The main aim of this study is to determine how effective mindfulness practice is in terms of self-care and whether it has an impact on psychotherapy practice or not. In addition to this, it aims to find the ability of mindfulness practice in promoting self care in an individual and to explore the impacts of mindfulness in the clinical work of an individual in addition to this dissertation aims to figure out the affect of mindful instruction and meditation in an individual's state of mindfulness. Similarly, it also reviews the provision of self care through the courses of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). According to the results it has been found that" Mindfulness Is Effective Practice In Terms Of Self-Care And Have an Impact on Your Psychotherapy Practice."
